Questions
Do timesheets need approving?
Time approvals are a separate screen and a separate permission, so what a person records and what the client is billed for are two decisions.
Can I bill a fixed price rather than hours?
Engagements carry their own billing, and the rate card is there when you want it. A fixed-fee engagement does not have to pretend to be hours.
Is there a ledger behind the billing?
Only if you switch Finance on. Without it you can still raise bills against engagements; with it they post to the accounts.
