Questions
Where do brokers work?
Inside the insurer’s workspace, on the insurer’s records, scoped to their own agency — that is what the Broker Portal is. A broker who only places business with other insurers is invited into theirs and creates nothing of their own.
Does it keep its own books?
It carries premium receivable, claims payable and commission itself, so it does not need Finance to function. An insurer that wants a general ledger over the top switches Finance on deliberately.
Can claims be assessed by someone outside the office?
Assessments are their own screen and their own permission, so an assessor can be given the claims work and nothing else.
